Effective Date: January 25, 2026

Welcome to Mississippi Safety Services, Inc. (“MSS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the Mississippi provider of National Safety Council (NSC) Defensive Driving Courses. These Service Guidelines (“Guidelines”) govern your access to and use of our website mssafety.com (the “Site”), registration for courses, participation in classes (online, classroom, or hybrid), payment for services, and related interactions. By registering, paying for, or attending a course, you agree to these Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

1. Services Provided

MSS offers NSC-authorized Defensive Driving Courses, including:

  • Standard NSC Defensive Driving Course (DDC) – for adults, aimed at accident prevention, insurance discounts, and court-approved traffic citation resolution (e.g., point reduction or dismissal in many Mississippi jurisdictions).
  • Teen Driver – Alive @ 25 (or similar NSC teen programs).

Courses are delivered in classroom, online, or blended formats using NSC curriculum and materials. Upon successful completion, participants receive an official NSC Certificate of Completion.

We are approved by Mississippi courts for traffic safety violator programs, but court acceptance is not guaranteed—approval depends on the specific court, citation details, and compliance with local rules. We report completion to the referring court as required.

2. Eligibility and Participation Requirements

To enroll and complete a course:

  • You must be at least 15 years old (or meet teen program minimums).
  • For court-referred courses: Provide accurate citation/case details and referring court information during registration.
  • For online courses: Have reliable internet, a compatible device/browser, and meet any technical requirements listed on the registration page.
  • Maintain good conduct—no disruptive behavior in classroom settings.
  • Complete the full course duration and pass any required assessments (per NSC standards).

We reserve the right to refuse or remove any participant for safety, compliance, or misconduct reasons.

3. Registration and Payment

  • Registration is completed via the Site or authorized links.
  • All fees are listed during checkout and are non-negotiable.
  • Payments are processed securely through third-party PCI-compliant processors (we do not store full card details).
  • You authorize us (or our processor) to charge the listed amount.
  • Receipts/confirmations are sent via email. Keep records for your reference.

4. Course Completion and Certificates

  • Attendance/participation is tracked per NSC and court requirements.
  • Certificates are issued only upon full completion and passing (digital or physical as applicable).
  • For court-referred students: We submit completion reports (including name, driver’s license/ID, DOB, completion date/status) to the referring court promptly after verification.
  • Replacement certificates may incur a fee—contact us for details.
  • Certificates are valid per NSC guidelines; we are not responsible for how courts, insurers, or others interpret/use them.

5. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

  • Cancellations/Rescheduling: Notify us at least [e.g., 48 hours / 24 hours] before the course start (or per specific class instructions) via email (info@mssafety.com) or phone (601-924-7815).
  • Refunds are at our discretion and may be subject to fees (e.g., processing or administrative). No refunds typically after course start or for no-shows, except in cases of documented hardship or technical issues on our end.
  • For online courses: Access may be time-limited; incomplete courses may not qualify for refunds or extensions.
  • Court-referred students: Changes may affect court compliance—consult your court first.

Contact us promptly for any issues; decisions are final.

6. Conduct and Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information during registration—false details may result in denial of certificate or reporting issues.
  • Comply with all NSC curriculum rules and Mississippi laws.
  • No recording, photographing, or sharing course materials without permission (copyrighted NSC content).
  • In classroom settings: Arrive on time, follow instructor directions, and respect others.

Violation may result in removal without refund or certificate.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • Courses are educational and promote safe driving but do not guarantee accident prevention, insurance discounts, or court outcomes—results vary by insurer/court.
  • We make no warranties beyond those in NSC materials. Services are provided “as is.”
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, MSS, its instructors, and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of services (including but not limited to ticket outcomes, insurance rates, or technical issues). Liability is limited to the course fee paid.
